Chicago, IL – Quest Design Group’s (QDG) Chicago office is working with KTGY Architecture + Planning on a contemporary 5-story building located in South Bend, Indiana. The 61,000 SF office building is located at 201 South Main Street and includes a lower-level parking garage.
QDG’s initial mechanical design calls for a variable air volume HVAC system with hot water coils and hot water baseboard supplemental heating, but the architect is considering adding more glass to the building.
“The large areas of glass on the building present a unique design challenge for this project,” says Ruben De La Fuente, QDG’s Vice President of Operations, “so we’re using energy modeling to ensure the appropriate system size.”
