Plumbing chases are critical in the design and installation of plumbing piping and plumbing fixtures. Maintaining minimum space requirements is usually over looked in the initial design of most projects and must be added during the project review with the architects.
The Plumbing & Drainage Institute (PDI) has put together, in conjunction with plumbing fixture manufacturers, the minimum space requirements that are needed for plumbing chases as it relates to plumbing fixtures. If these requirements are followed during the design of a project, then the installation of the plumbing will be successful.
