Oak Brook, IL – Quest Design Group (QDG) designed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for the new clubhouse at the Mistwood Golf Club. The project earned a 2016 Merit Award from the Chicago Building Congress for construction under $15 million.

The Mistwood Golf Club in Romeoville, Illinois is one of the top golf training facilities in the country. The clubhouse is a 26,000 square foot, two-story building with several office spaces and various facility rooms.

“The Mistwood clubhouse is a gorgeous building,” according to Michael Janis, President and CEO of Quest Design Group, “and our team is honored to be recognized by the Chicago Building Congress.”

Highlights from the mechanical design include convenient and efficient gas fired boilers, hot water handling units, gas fired roof top units, make up air units, water heaters and exhaust fans serving throughout the building space.

The electrical design included a lighting scheme with more than 70 different types of fixtures ranging from energy efficient LED lights in the pro shop and bar area to Scottish Farmhouse style fixtures in the restaurant and banquet facility. The entire lighting system is controlled by a central dimming system with over 50 lighting zones and countless lighting scenes for the facility.
