Quest Design Group (QDG) promoted Erick Jacinto to focus on the company’s 3-D design projects. As the BIM Manager, Mr. Jacinto will work exclusively with Autodesk Revit, the industry’s leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering.
“Many of the architects we work with are asking for 3-D models, and in some cases they are a requirement for the project,” according to Michael Janis, President and CEO of Quest Design Group. “Erick’s promotion is the first step toward building QDG’s Revit team in Sarasota.”
Mr. Jacinto joined the QDG team as a draftsman in 2014 and was quickly promoted to a plumbing designer.
A native of Southwest Florida, Jacinto has always demonstrated his strong commitment to education. After graduating from Braden River High School in 2009, Jacinto earned his Associates degree from State College of Florida (SCF), and a drafting degree from Manatee Technical Institute (MTI).
While he was at MTI Jacinto served as class president, received his AutoCAD Certification, and was their first student to complete the Revit Certification.
“I competed in the statewide Skills USA competition for architectural drafting and came in second place,” Erick is proud to report.
“Erick is young, talented, driven, and eager to grow,” says Abram Richardson, QDG’s Senior Project Manager and Erick’s direct report. “He has tackled every project I’ve thrown at him, and I’m confident he will excel in his new role.”
