SARASOTA, FL — Quest Design Group (QDG) is pleased to announce that Christopher Baker, currently the Vice President of Engineering for the firm's Sarasota office, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations.
“Chris has been on track for this position for some several years,” said Michael Janis, QDG’s President and CEO. “We’re thrilled to give him this opportunity, and we’re excited to see him run with it.”
Chris will assume general management duties of the Sarasota office as part of his new role.
Chris first entered the consulting industry as an engineering intern in 1997. With a focus on high-performance buildings, he has since developed expertise in designing mechanical systems and managing projects including museums, educational facilities, retail, mixed-use developments, hotels, and office buildings. His strengths are in general management, economical & sustainable design, client relations and team leadership. He has contributed to over 30 LEED projects including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems, and over the years has become an advocate for sustainable design.
He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
