SARASOTA, FL—Quest Design Group (QDG) recently completed renovation work at acclaimed Sarasota restaurant Sage. The project was run out of QDG’s Sarasota office.
The project involved remodeling existing restrooms and adding a new ADA-compliant restroom on the rooftop lounge level, relocating fire sprinkler heads to provide coverage for the new floor plan, ductwork updates and relocation of air distribution devices, new lighting systems throughout, and providing power to two new elevators. QDG also ensured the restaurant’s kitchen met all current code requirements.
“Upscale restaurant renovations often require the most creativity from our design teams,” says Christopher Baker, QDG’s Vice President of Operations. “Every restaurant concept is unique, but they all have to meet the same stringent code requirements. Fortunately, our extensive experience working with hospitality industry clients helped ensure the Sage renovations were a success.”
The renovated space measures almost eleven thousand square feet.
Established in 2019, Sage offers an upscale, eclectic dining experience in the original Sarasota Times Newspaper building. The restaurant features a multi-level dining room with a vintage copper cocktail bar and a covered rooftop lounge with 360° views of downtown Sarasota. It is located at 1216 1st Street in downtown Sarasota.
